Melissa Silber
Melissa was already doing great work as a socially-conscious accountant, and her social media content showed how knowledgeable, experienced and passionate she is, but she wanted her brand to look and feel more consistent.
Everything about her brand—from the indigo hues to the soft serif font to the asterisk flower—was designed to balance between professional and approachable, playful but dependable.
I then re-designed her website to go with her new brand. Sure, the website includes her services, prices and credentials, but more importantly, it tells the story of who she is, what she does, why she does it and why she’s so good at it.
But my favourite part of her whole branding kit? The social media templates that I designed for her. First, I coordinated a brand shoot for her, and then turned the photos into graphics. I also combined historical paintings of women from open access galleries with some popular meme formats as a cheeky way to highlight the intersections of feminism and classism—themes that Melissa frequently references in her social media content.
If there’s one thing I can say about Melissa, it’s that she really, truly wants to help other business owners. She wants to see others succeed and will do everything she can to help make that happen. Yeah, she’s a knock-out accountant, but more than that, Melissa is incredibly genuine.
