Integrity & Alignment

When you're looking to work with a creative agency, it's important to find the right fit, because we all have our strengths and weaknesses. I hope I'm the right fit, but you can always trust me to be honest about what I can and can't do—and I'll always try to help you find someone who is the right fit!

Community & Connection

I started a creative agency because I love being part of a community, and I wanted to work with local businesses. As far as I'm concerned, clients are not just clients—they're friends, family and neighbours, and I'm committed to maintaining that relationship from the start of the project to the end.

Positivity & Empowerment

Wanting to work with a creative agency doesn't mean that what you're doing is wrong—it just means that you want to do more of what's already working, and that's smart, strategic business! You're probably more capable than you think, and I want to prove it to you through practice, process and positivity.

Hi, I'm Erica James

I was raised in an artistic family (my mom is a graphic designer and my dad was a photographer) and was always taught to be curious, creative, diverse and dynamic. As a result, I was playing with Photoshop by the age of ten and was accused of plagiarism by elementary school teachers on more than one occasion because my projects looked “too professional.”

In high school, I fell in love with writing. The accusations of plagiarism continued but I took it as a compliment, and focused on being accepted into the School of Journalism at the Toronto Metropolitan University.

After graduating, I wrote for a few online publications and then got started in communications with a couple of contract positions in the healthcare sector. From there, I transitioned to a small consulting firm, where I worked on a market research project for an environmental organization. When the project was complete, I was offered and accepted a position at that organization.

Today, I have more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications and I have developed a wide range of creative skills. I currently live in the small town of Waterford, Ontario with my fiancée, Rick, and our schnauzer, Charlie.

FUN FACTS

I am absolutely in love with thrifting and have been since I was a teenager. A rainy day, a hot coffee, a bag full of snacks and an entire day spent in a thrift store is my idea of heaven.
